Day By Day Itinerary:

Day 1	Pick up at hotel in Hanoi at around 20:15hrs and transfer to Hanoi train station. Overnight regular public train trip to Lao Cai in shared sleeping compartments (sharing 2 lower & 2 upper berths per compartment). Train departs at approximately 21:15hrs Please note that the train is a local experience. Cabins are shared with other local passengers (unless private cabin is requested and all berths paid for - with supplement). Communal rest rooms at either end of the carriages complete the local experience. Meals : Breakfast
Day 2	Early morning (approximately 06:30hrs) arrival at Lao Cai, the border town to Yunnan. The journey starts with a 38 km drive on winding roads up the mountains to Sapa, approx. 1500m above sea level. On clear days you can see the highest mountain of Vietnam, the Fansipan. After breakfast at the hotel, you have time to relax and enjoy the beautiful landscape or discover the town on your own until time to check in at the hotel. Lunch at hotel. In the afternoon, take a short drive to Cat Cat village, home to Hmong people. Take a walk to observe and share the daily lives of the local people and get a glimpse into their culture and customs. Dinner is on your own. Overnight in Sapa. Meals : Breakfast , Lunch
Day 3	Early breakfast. Check-out from the hotel and depart by car for the highland town of Bac Ha where you can wander through the local ethnic market. Bac Ha is a centre for alcohol manufacture and at the end of a busy day at the market, the menfolk can often be seen wending their merry way home. Lunch at local restaurant. Time for a last look around Bac Ha before driving to Lao Cai train station. Overnight train trip to Hanoi in shared sleeping compartments of regular train (sharing with other passengers in 2 lower & 2 upper berths per compartment). Train departs at approximately 20:15hrs Meals : Breakfast , Lunch
Day 4	Early morning (approximately 06:00AM), arrival in Hanoi. Transfer to hotel in Hanoi (breakfast and accommodation in Hanoi is not included. Supplement if requested). Meals : Breakfast
