Day By Day Itinerary:

Day 1

Hanoi - Tam Dao National Park: Visit Bear Sanctuary - Trek to "Dragon Navel" - Love Valley At 8.00 AM, our tour guide and vehicle will pick you up at in Hanoi and drive 2 hours up to Tam Dao Town located in a 3-square-km valley. Upon arrival mountainous Tam Dao Town, you will check in resort and freely explore this beautiful town by your own and learn local lives until 11.00 AM back to hotel for lunch. At 12.30PM, we will drive to Park Center for registration and we start our trek by a visit at Bear Sanctuary then turn on jungle path to visit "Dragon Navel" (Ron Rong), a middle point of two different pine forests, which owns large lake made by small falls. It creates an epic view for travelers. After swimming freely here, we continue walking to Love Valley to learn more about an unique ecosystem of Tam Dao National Park - the combination fauna of species from both temperate forests and tropical rainforests. If lucky, we can see some rare birds such as Black-breasted Thrush, Japanese Thrush and Fujian Niltava (often seen in winter). Trek 2kms back to Park Center and drive back to nearby resort for relax and dinner. Activity: 4km trekking Meals: Lunch, Dinner

Day 2

Tam Dao National Park: Trek up to the peak of Tam Dao 2 At 7.00 AM, after breakfast at the resort, we transfer 10km to the trail-head of the foot of Tam Dao Mountain. Here we meet up with our local escort and get equipped with trekking sticks and start our climb-up to Tao Dao Mountain for conquering the second-highest peak Tam Dao 2. Different from warm-up trek of first day, this trekking is more challenging with long, rocky, and steep jungle trails. Reach this summit around 11.00 AM, a feeling of winners invades us inside to release all of our tiredness. Continue hiking and crossing Short Forests, Bamboo Forests…to admire the beauty and richness of biodiversity of Tam Dao National Park. Picnic lunch will be served at the summit Tam Dao 2. After lunch, we visit the ancient forest of Rhoclodentron Simmi (the most beautiful bloom of this forest is in January and February) then descend back to the foot area of the mountain. Meet-up with our vehicle and back to resort for fresh shower and check-out. 4.30PM, transfer back to Hanoi and the trip concludes at your hotel in Hanoi around 6.30 - 7.00PM.
